PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Porterville police are searching for a 15-year-old boy accused of helping murder his cousin.
Investigators say 36-year-old Frank Baca was stabbed to death Sunday night on the 200 block of South G Street in Porterville. Family members at the scene told Action News two of Baca's cousins attacked him in the backyard of this home. Police say Baca was taken to Sierra View Medical Center just after 8:30 p.m., where he was pronounced dead.
"It all began at a family gathering. It began with a verbal disturbance that escalated to physical, then a knife was produced and the stabbing occurred," said Sgt. Rick Carrillo of the Porterville Police Department.
Baca's cousin, 39-year-old Patrick Baca Jr., was arrested for murder at his home in Exeter Sunday night.
Police believe Baca's other cousin, a 15-year-old boy who hasn't been identified, is hiding somewhere in Porterville. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call police.
