2 Merced Little Caesars employees hospitalized in drive-by shooting, police say

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two Little Caesars employees have been airlifted to the hospital following a drive-by shooting in Merced.

Police say the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Friday on West 16th and G streets.

Investigators say the two employees, both of whom are men, were taking out the trash in the back alley when a sedan pulled up and opened fire.

Both men were seriously injured but were able to run back to the store to call 911.

Their current condition is unknown at this time.

Detectives are speaking with several witnesses at the scene and are looking for surveillance video.
