72-year-old Oregon man killed in rollover crash near Bass Lake

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man killed in a rollover crash near Bass Lake has been identified as 72-year-old Hormoz Kermani.

The California Highway Patrol responded just before 4 am Friday to Road 274 and Fawn Point Lane for a report of a crash.

Officers arrived and found a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck overturned.

Investigators say Kermani, who is from Oregon, was headed north on Road 274 when the driver was not able to stay on the road in a sharp turn.

The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree before rolling down an embankment.

The driver died at the scene.

Authorities say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
