33-year-old man shot and killed in northwest Fresno identified, police looking for 2 suspects

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man who was shot and killed in northwest Fresno on Monday has been identified as 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar.

Investigators say the shooting happened at 6:50 pm Monday in the area of North State Street and West Acacia Avenue, just south of Shaw Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Kumar with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.

The man who was shot and killed in northwest Fresno on Monday has been identified as 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar.

Officers say Kumar was just getting home when the shooting happened. Police say two people were inside the home at the time, including Kumar's brother.

Two different shell casings were found at the scene, which leads police to believe there are two suspects.

Authorities say it was not a random act.

No suspect information has been provided.

This was the 12th homicide of the year in Fresno.
