College of the Sequoias theatre program gets national honor

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local theatre arts program has earned national honors.

College of the Sequoias was recognized at the 2025 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for its production of "Reefer Madness: The Musical."

The theatre arts program was awarded the citizen artist award, outstanding production, outstanding performance and many others.

Two students were also honored at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
