FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- New data shows that California's agriculture hit a record high in 2024.
The numbers were just released by the state's Department of Food and Agriculture.
They show the Golden State produced more than $61 billion worth of ag commodities.
That's a 3.6 percent increase from 20-23.
This is the first time California's production value has surpassed $60 billion.
The top products were dairy, almonds and grapes. That was followed by cattle, lettuce and strawberries.
California provides roughly half of the nation's fruits, nuts and vegetables.
