Day 1 of the 2025 Big Fresno Fair

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's October 1, which means it's time for the Big Fresno Fair.

Thousands will head to the fairgrounds for family fun, food and entertainment.

There will be dozens of food stands that people can try.

You can find your returning favorites along with some new food items as well this year.

For opening day, the fair is also offering $5 admission for everyone.

Gates open at 4 pm, with the fair running until 11 pm. The main carnival also opens at 4 pm.

Wednesday night's concert is Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. The show starts at 7 pm.

This year, the fair is implementing a new bag policy to ensure safety and speedy entry.
