Pedestrian hit and killed by car near Kettleman City, CHP says

KETTLEMAN CITY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pedestrian died after being hit by a car near Kettleman City early Monday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says it happened northbound I-5 at Highway 41 around 3:30 am.

It's not yet known why the person was in the roadway.

Officers say to expect some slowdowns in the area as the investigation continues.
