FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The "Marketplace at El Paseo" shopping center in northwest Fresno has been growing over the last couple of years with new businesses.
From the Regal Theatre to The Hub Eats and Drinks, Five Below and many more.
"I was very happy to see Target move in so I would not have to drive across town. And the variety of new stores, Hobby Lobby is our favorite," resident Elaine Hazelton said.
Hazelton lives nearby and says these new dining and shopping options are a game-changer for her lifestyle.
She was first in line on Thursday morning for the soft opening of Paris Baguette. She enjoyed sweet treats with her close friends, who are also thrilled with the new option.
"It's something relaxing, different and very bright," friend Yolanda Tobin said.
The District Manager of Paris Baguette, Moises Salinas, says their team has been waiting for two years to open these doors and feel excited to be part of something new.
"We understand it's a risk. Since it's developing, we know eventually we will see new people. We expect to also grow, especially with new establishments," Salinas said.
Those other businesses are still in the works but have signs that say they'll be opening soon.
