Man shot and killed in southwest Fresno, police confirm

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is dead following a shooting in southwest Fresno Thursday night.

It happened around 10 pm on East Samson between MLK Jr. Boulevard and Clara Avenue.

Police say they arrived to find a man in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say there was a party happening nearby, but there is no word if it had anything to do with the shooting on Samson.

Police say shell casings were found at the scene.
