Brisa Colón
Brisa Colón joined the ABC30 team in June of 2024.

Though born and raised in Southern California, Brisa's move to the Central Valley is a homecoming. She spent her childhood in Fresno during the holidays visiting family.

Before Fresno, Brisa was a reporter and fill-in anchor at KSBW8 News on California's Central Coast. During her time there, she reported on a wide range of topics spanning from education to historic weather events.

Brisa graduated from California State University Fullerton in 2022 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Spanish Media Certificate.

During college, she interned at CNN's Los Angeles Bureau and published articles covering California and the Pacific Northwest. She also earned the honor of being named a distinguished NBCU Academy Fellow.

Brisa has a black belt in Karate and was the 2017 National Champion. She was on the USA National Karate Team and represented the United States in several international competitions.

She strives to connect and share the best with the Central Valley community. Away from the newsroom, Brisa has a passion for animals, the environment, and food!
