Shooting in Tulare County leaves one teen dead and another in the hospital

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. -- A shooting left one teenager dead and another injured near Farmersville on Saturday night.

A Farmersville police officer reported hearing gunshots from the Linnell Farm Labor Center on North Mariposa Street in Visalia just after 9:00 p.m.

Farmersville police and Tulare County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and found two teens suffering from gunshot wounds.

CPR was initiated on one victim, and both teens were taken to a local hospital.

One victim died from his injuries, and the other is expected to recover.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are investigating.
