The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran running back Raheem Mostert, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Mostert, 32, was released last month by the Miami Dolphins after three seasons, in which he rushed for 2,181 yards and 23 touchdowns in 44 games.

After Mostert totaled 1,012 yards and a league-leading 21 total touchdowns in 2023 (his lone Pro Bowl season), his numbers declined drastically last season due to De'Von Achane working as the Dolphins' featured back. Achane totaled 85 carries for 278 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 13 games in 2024.

If Mostert can play closer to his efforts in 2023 and 2022, when he had 891 yards and three scores, he could be a solid addition to the Raiders' running back room, which currently features Zamir White, Sincere McCormick and Chris Collier.

The Raiders struggled mightily at running the ball, averaging a league-low 79.8 yards per game. It's expected Las Vegas will continue to add to its room through the draft. Both ESPN's Field Yates and Jordan Reid had the Raiders taking Boise State running backAshton Jeantyas the sixth overall pick in their latest mock drafts.

Mostert finished his tenure in Miami with 2,181 rushing yards and 28 total touchdowns.

Before joining the Dolphins, he played six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry in San Francisco but was unable to stay on the field consistently enough to fill the role of primary back as the team hoped he would.

He burst on the scene during San Francisco's run to Super Bowl LIV after the 2019 season, highlighted by his 220-yard, four-touchdown performance against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

He has rushed for 3,791 yards and has scored 42 total touchdowns (34 rushing) in 10 NFL seasons.

Fox Sports first reported the news of Mostert's agreement with the Raiders.
