YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (KFSN) -- Yosemite National Park could receive AI-powered real-time parking information to help with overcrowding.

It's part of a new grant from the National Park Foundation, which helps fund innovative ideas and strengthen the parks.

According to the foundation, Yosemite is one of 20 national parks to receive the "Conceptual Grant."

The park plans to use its portion of the $10 million to design what's being called a "unified, park- wide system that integrates real-time data on traffic, parking, and road conditions into automated, multi-channel visitor information."

That includes technologies such as sensors and other smart devices.
