In celebration of National Save for Retirement Week, one financial planning company is offering every American baby born on Oct. 20, 2014 a $500 mutual fund.

Today's newborns aren't the only ones who stand to benefit from National Save for Retirement Week. The week is organized to raise awareness about the importance of saving money for retirement at all ages.
A recent survey released by the Federal Reserve Board found that nearly half of Americans are not planning how they will pay for retirement (with 25% of those ages 55-64 saying they don't know how they will make ends meet after retirement).
