Logan Mankins, Bulldog alum and Patriots player, to be inducted into Fresno State Ring of Honor

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Former Bulldog Logan Mankins will have his name etched alongside Fresno State Football's greats this October as this year's Ring of Honor nominee.

Fresno State Athletics announced Mankins' induction on Monday during its football program's media day at Table Mountain Casino Resort.

Mankins will be inducted in a halftime ceremony against Fresno State football's homecoming game against Boise State on October 10.

Mankins, who played under head coach Pat Hill from 2000-2004, was drafted by the New England Patriots as the last pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

The former All-Pro spent a majority of his 11-year career with the Patriots, appearing in the two Super Bowls protecting NFL great Tom Brady.
