A man is behind bars, accused of vandalizing a police vehicle and other areas of Porterville with threatening messages.
BLM MURAL DEFACED: "(We) value tolerance and the damage to the mural was divisive and hurtful," police said in a statement.
HATE TURNED TO HOPE: Neighbors lined up on a street banging on pots and pans to stand in solidarity with a Black family whose home was vandalized.
