Best Buy E-Waste Trial Program

6/2/2008 Fresno, CA Best Buy is testing a new e-waste program designed to make sure millions of old TV's, computers, and other unwanted gadgets don't end up in landfills.

Many electronics contain materials that can be poisonous to the environment.

Best Buy stores in Merced and their soon to be open store in Clovis are part of the test run.

Store officials say if the program is successful it could expand the e-waste service to the rest of its 900 U.S. stores.
