The state's Republican Party will decide Sunday whether to reprimand Assembly Minority Leader Mike Villines and five others who voted for this week's budget plan.GOP delegates from across the state are in Sacramento this weekend for their annual meeting -- and many are steaming after Villines voted for a budget plan that will raise taxes by $12.8 billion dollars.

But stopping by the action news newsroom today -- assemblyman Villines defended his vote.

Today a GOP committee voted to reprimand the six lawmakers - and all the delegates will get to vote tomorrow.

Villines said he understands the party's frustrations and calls the budget plan a tough compromise. He said it provides permanent tax cuts while raising taxes only temporarily.
