Dry Kansas weather affects crops

FRESNO, Calif.

Officials say farmers in Northern Kansas are starting to see damage to corn and other crops because of a lack of rain. Some think the problem will get so bad this summer that some crops of corn won't even be good enough for livestock feed.

Farmers and ranchers say the dry conditions will drive up their costs because they will have to haul water and supplement food.
