Highway 180 in Fresno Co. to reopen Monday morning after brush fire
The fire broke out Sunday afternoon at Highway 180 and Dunlap Road, just east of Squaw Valley. It has burned 75 acres and is 25% contained.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Caltrans will reopen a large part of Highway 180 on Monday morning as firefighters continue to mop up the Kings Fire in Fresno County.

The fire broke out Sunday afternoon at Highway 180 and Dunlap Road, just east of Squaw Valley. It has burned 75 acres and is 25% contained.

Seven engines from Fresno County and CAL FIRE, along with six engines from Tulare County, responded to the brush fire.

The flames destroyed one outbuilding. Forward progress of the fire has stopped.

Crews have been working throughout the night to mop-up and to see if the perimeter is safe.

Caltrans closed off Highway 180 between Dunlap and Millwood on Sunday. It will reopen around 9 am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
