Abducted 2-year-old Oakland boy found safe
An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old boy who was abducted in Oakland on Tuesday night, police said.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- An AMBER Alert for an abducted two-year-old boy has been canceled after Oakland police say he was found safe.

Michael Hamilton was dropped off at the OPD's Eastmont Substation after 9 a.m. He is "completely healthy," but will get a full check, according to officers. Authorities say they are still working on details on who dropped Michael off at the station.

Oakland police say Tanisha is the name of the person who drove away with the boy but no one has been arrested in the case. A motive for the abduction hasn't been established, they added.

Michael's aunt was reportedly caring for him Tuesday night when she stopped her car and went into a store at East 27th Street and Fruitvale Avenue. According to police, Tanisha then drove away with Michael.

The car is still missing and police are asking for help locating it. It's described as a 2021 black Nissan Versa with California license plate 8TYX914.

Anyone with more information about the case is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department.
