In May, rebate checks are being sent to many taxpayers to jump start the slowing economy. The director of the Fresno Coalition for Arts, Science and History says the goal of the "share the rebate" campaign is to turn more people into philanthropists.
Cynthia Cooper says you don't have to donate a lot to help.
"There are people, who have a million dollars, and we're thankful for them, but it's really all of us chipping in to invest in a thriving community here in our valley."
