Planes from the World War 2 era took to the skies over Madera today, as a weekend Air Show came to a close. The legends over Madera event featured all kinds of planes as well as military bombers and fighters from the past, all restored to their original beauty.

The weekend also included flight demonstrations for the crowds on the ground, and some even got the chance to go up in the air.

David Sorge, who rode in bi-plane said, "It was pretty crazy. Got to go up, saw all the high schools. I thought someone had a go-cart track in their front of their house and it ended up being a football field. It's pretty crazy up there."

David Sorge's father in law surprised him with a ride in a bi-plane. Sorge said it was quite an experience, because it was a tiny cockpit, and you could really feel the wind in your face.
