They were taken by a life magazine photographer in 1950, and show Monroe at age 24, a few years before she burst onto the Hollywood scene.
The collection was discovered by life dot com last month-- editors think much of it was shot at Los Angele's Griffith Park.
Marilyn Monroe died of a mysterious drug over in 1962. She was just 36 years old.
