Sinkhole swallows up half of fire truck

A water main break created a sinkhole big enough to swallow up half of a fire truck in Valley Village on Tuesday.Water started gushing near the intersection of Hartsook Street and Bellingham Avenue, east of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, at about 5 a.m.

No one was injured in this incident.

Officials said a 6-inch water main break is affecting about 40 DWP customers in the neighborhood.

Hartsook Street is closed.
