Fresno State, Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl

Fresno State learned its early holiday destination Sunday accepting a bid to the New Mexico Bowl for the second straight year where they will take on Wyoming.The news comes one day after an improbable 53-52 win at Illinois. A win the helped the bulldogs double up their record to 8-4.

It's the 10th bowl game in Pat Hill's 13 years in charge and yet another chance for Fresno State to increase its profile on a national stage.

The New Mexico Bowl is the first game of the college bowl season and will take place Saturday, December 19th with a 1:30 local time kickoff.

The preseason pick to finish last in the Mountain West Conference, Wyoming instead went 6-6 playing the nation's eighth toughest schedule.
