He was released a short time later. He remains employed with the Chp and has not been placed on administrative leave.
Merced CHP Officer Arrested for DUI
FRESNO, Calif. Mendoza is an officer with the CHP's Merced Office. He was off-duty at the time. Investigators say Mendoza failed a sobriety test after the crash, and was booked into the Merced County Jail.
