Dense Fog Advisory issued for Central, Southern San Joaquin Valley

FRESNO, Calif.

DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PST FRIDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PST FRIDAY FOR THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY.

* FOG IS BEGINNING TO DEVELOP MUCH EARLIER THAN LAST NIGHT. THIS BRINGS THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG OVERNIGHT.

* VISIBILITY: LOWERING TO LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A MILE IN MANY AREAS TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY OVER THE EAST HALF OF THE VALLEY.

* TIMING: PATCHY DENSE FOG THIS EVENING WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD BY OVER THE EAST HALF OF THE VALLEY.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: VISALIA...HANFORD...LEMOORE...CORCORAN... MERCED...MADERA...FRESNO...MENDOTA...TULARE...DELANO.

* IMPACTS: DENSE FOG OVERNIGHT MAY IMPAIR TRAVEL...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND NEAR THE HIGHWAY 99 CORRIDOR.
