The Fresno Grizzlies are gearing up for another game on the home field, but the fans will also be cheering for another competition.

The Taco Truck Throwdown 3 is going down Thursday night and fans will cast their votes for the best truck.

It's one of summer's best events in the Central Valley. The Taco Truck Throwdown challenges local taco trucks to compete against one another as fans try to determine the best in the Valley.

In 2012, the event's second year, over 14,000 tacos were eaten from 13 trucks. The game had 11,463 fans attend.

Cities such as Mendota, Centerville, Selma, Reedley, Sanger, and Fresno will be represented by taco trucks competing in the throwdown.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Fresno Grizzlies game at Chukchansi Park. The trucks will be located on Tulare Plaza and tickets are still available.
