Police found 37-year-old Brian Winston lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest.
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities have identified the victim of Fresno's second homicide of the New Year. It happened around 6:00 Saturday night at an apartment complex in the area of Park and White. When police responded to the scene they found 37-year-old Brian Winston lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest.
Detectives are still trying to determine what led to the shooting and what the victim was doing in the neighborhood, because he lived across town, in Northwest Fresno. Residents say the violence has them on edge.
Police say Winston was a gang member but did not appear to have been recently active. Detectives are still searching for suspects.
