FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Some future Fresno State Bulldogs got to check out the campus on Saturday.
Preview Day gives incoming fall students a chance to meet with their professors, see what campus organizations have to offer and meet with financial services staff. Prospective students also got to take tours of the campus, housing and the Henry Madden Library.
Organizers say it's a good opportunity for those who are on the fence about which college to choose.
"The students a lot of them have accepted their admission to Fresno State, but a lot of them are still deciding whether or not they want to choose Fresno State. So the event like Preview Day gives them an opportunity to really check out the campus, to really confirm this is the place where I want to be in the fall, and then you hopefully make that commitment to come in the fall. Even those who have accepted their admission still may have accepted their admission to other campuses, so we want to make sure that we let them know that Fresno State is the place for them," said Phong Yang, associate director with University Outreach Services.
Organizers say about 75 percent of students who attend Fresno State are from California. The rest of them are from out of state, so events like this one can help them decide if the university is a good fit.
