Santa delivers toys to Lowell Elementary students

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Students at Lowell Elementary School got an early surprise from Santa on Friday.

Santa and Mrs. Claus visited the school and delivered toys to students of all ages. The school partnered with Toys for Tots to make sure every student was given a new toy for Christmas. School officials say for many students at the school, Santa's visit may be the only gift they get this year.

"A lot of times, they're not going to be able to have a toy, to have a present at home just because of the circumstances, so at least if we can provide that for them it makes us feel better to know that our kids are getting something special," said Lowell Elementary Principal Miguel Naranjo.

Mr. Naranjo says giving that holiday memory and chance to meet Santa is a special treat for all the teachers and staff.
