Students put history on display in Merced

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- North Valley students had a chance to show off all of their hard work on Friday at a history fair.

Third through eighth graders at Providence Christian School in Merced created backboards on different topics, including states, national parks and presidents. Each student also wrote a report and gave an oral presentation to the judges.

"I chose Woodrow Wilson. He was one of the most controversial presidents. One of the cool facts about him: He was the first president to throw a pitch at a World Series game," said eight grader Alison Bylsma.

Each year, the school rotates what type of fair they're doing, including science, missionary work and history.
