In the wake of the Equifax data breach last year California Attorney General is reminding people to sign up for free credit monitoring before this week's deadline.
Equifax is one of the nation's three major credit reporting agencies.
In September, Equifax announced it suffered a massive data breach which affected 145 million Americans, including 15 million Californians.
It compromised personal information.
Those affected by the breach and those who were not, are advised to sign up for the free credit monitoring available on the Equifax website.
The deadline to enroll is Wednesday.
