FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The warm weather provided great conditions for a different type of rain in Northwest Fresno on Saturday.

A helicopter dropped 2,600 golf balls onto the Islewood Driving Range on Milburn near Alluvial. People paid $10 for a ball and the one that landed closest to the pin walked away with $3,000.

The money raised will go to First Tee of Fresno, which teaches kids valuable life skills through the game of golf.

This is the sixth annual Golf Ball Drop in Fresno.
