New deaths reported at Visalia, Lindsay nursing centers by health officials

There are currently six senior care facilities in the county reporting cases of the coronavirus.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tulare County health officials say 28 residents at the Redwood Springs Healthcare Center in Visalia have died from COVID-19 in total

Health officials also reported five people have died at the Lindsay Gardens Nursing Home in Lindsay.

It's not clear the total number of coronavirus cases each facility has at this time. There are currently six senior care facilities in the county reporting cases of the virus.

The California Department of Public Health also reported four other facilities in the county with confirmed cases last week --- Dinuba Healthcare, Linwood Meadows Care Center, Sierra Valley Rehabilitation Center and Twin Oaks Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

As of Tuesday, Tulare County has 1,159 cases of the coronavirus and a reported 50 deaths.
