FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Highway 41 in Madera County is back open after a grass fire forced both sides of the road to close on Wednesday.

Northbound 41 was shut down at State Route 145, and the southbound side was closed at Road 200 shortly before 10 a.m. The highway reopened about three hours later.

Firefighters say the fire burned about one and a half acres. The cause of the fire has not been released.
