KISSIMMEE, Florida -- Eyewitness News editor Ashley LoFaso captured what it was like at Disney World when Irma arrived in the Orlando area early Monday.

Disney World closed for the weekend because of the hurricane, but many guests remained huddled in their hotels and resorts.

Ashley was stuck in Animal Kingdom with her boyfriend, and shared the experience in a series of videos on YouTube.

Much of central Florida, including the Disney World area, suffered significant damage as Irma blew through Sunday night and into Monday morning.

As Irma pulled away, Ashley wrote on Facebook, "Good morning! We are safe and with power! Lockdown is still in place until 6PM tonight by order of the county. It is still quite windy, but the sun is just starting to peer out. Oddly, and despite what I was told by a cast member, the zebras made an appearance on the savannah around 3AM. Haven't seen them since."
