FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- A driver is in the hospital with major injuries after slamming into a flatbed truck in Fresno County.
The crash happened in foggy conditions around 5 a.m. on Temperance near Jensen. CHP officers say this flatbed truck was hauling oranges down the road when a Honda Civic drove right into it. The car ended up underneath the truck and the roof was sheared off.
Investigators say the driver of the truck didn't feel the impact and it took a few moments to realize what happened. The person in the Honda Civic was then taken to the hospital.
CHP believes the fog could have been a factor.
