Firefighter hurt while battling Visalia house fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One Visalia home has been destroyed and another one suffered major damage during a fire Saturday.

The fire happened near Court Street and Evergreen Avenue.

Firefighters said when they arrived one home was already engulfed in flames while the second one had heavy smoke coming from the attic.

They were able to put out the fire without it spreading to any other homes.

One firefighter got hurt but is expected to be okay.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
