Propane leak forces partial road closure in Tulare County

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Firefighters are working Saturday night to stop a propane leak in Tulare County.

Authorities say at least five tanks from a storage facility are leaking near Road 196 and Avenue 224.

At this point, there are no evacuations at this time but there a portion of Road 196 is closed.

Firefighters say the area is not densely populated and they're hoping to resolve the leaks quickly.

Depending on wind direction odors and vapors could blow toward Lindsay but firefighters at this point the leak is contained to the facility.
