Man hospitalized after drive-by shooting in southeast Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a man was injured in a drive-by shooting in southeast Fresno.

Fresno police responded just after 10:30 pm Tuesday to the area on Lyell Avenue and 4th Street for a report of a shooting.

Investigators say a man in his 20s was sitting on his front porch when a car drove by and shot at the victim several times, hitting the man once in the shin.

He was taken to the hospital, where he is being treated.

Authorities believe there was more than one person inside the suspect's car.
