Man identified after being hit by a vehicle in West Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man killed after being hit by a vehicle on Clinton and Brawley avenues in West Central Fresno has been identified.

Officials say 53-year-old Jose Antonio stepped off the sidewalk to cross the road when he was hit by a vehicle travelling northbound on Brawley.

Antonio died from his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with Fresno Police.

Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the incident.
