Shooting in Strathmore leaves 1 man dead, suspect at large, deputies say

STRATHMORE, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Tulare County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting in the rural community of Strathmore near Porterville.

Deputies responded to Road 196 around 1:15 on Sunday morning for a shooting victim.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound and immediately began CPR.

Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene shortly after deputies and took over life-saving measures, but the victim died from his injuries.

Homicide Detectives are investigating and searching for the shooter.
