Hanford police investigating shooting, nearby MLK Elementary on shelter-in-place

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a person was shot in Hanford on Thursday.

Police say the shooting happened just before 7 am at Hume and Echo.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are now on scene investigating the incident.
