COSTA MESA, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to terms with linebacker Denzel Perryman on a two-year deal, the team announced Friday.

Selected in the second round (48th overall) of the 2015 draft out of Miami, Perryman was an effective player for the Chargers when healthy.

In 42 career games with 35 starts, Perryman has totaled 226 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions.

However, the 26-year-old had trouble staying on the field during his career, missing 15 of a possible 57 games.

Perryman finished two of the past three seasons on injured reserve, including last year when hamstring and knee injuries forced him to miss the last seven games of the regular season, along with the playoffs.
