FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The National Park Service said two minors were sleeping in a tent around 5 a.m. on Friday, when an oak tree limb fell, killing them both.
Park Rangers said the incident happened in the Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley. They said rangers responded to provide medical assistance, but found both minors were deceased.
"Our thoughts are with the families as they grieve this tragedy," stated park Superintendent Don Neubacher.
The names, ages, and places of residence of the victims are not being released. The incident remains under investigation.
