Shooting Victim in Dinuba Identified

Deputies in the South Valley have identified a man who died of a gunshot wound in Dinuba.Officers found 26-year old Roberto Alvarez at the 9,000 block of Avenue 420 Tuesday night. They said he was shot in the chest.

Paramedics rushed Alvarez to the hospital where he later died. Deputies later discovered a marijuana cultivation operation while serving a search warrant for a suspect.

Deputies arrested a suspect in Alvarez's death, in Merced County.

The Tulare County Coroner released results of a suspicious death that happened last week. 43-year old Timothy John Stovall was found dead in an Orange Grove last Wednesday at Avenue 296 and Road 210 near Exeter.

The coroner said Stovall died of an accidental drug overdose and that there were no signs of foul play.
