Many exhibitors spent today cleaning equipment, sweeping walk ways and dressing up their products. Several exhibitors said they are counting on cost-cutting technologies to sell in this turbulent time, but officials want to remind viewers that there is something for everyone.

"Our non-traditional attendees can see the most competitive and most advanced technology in agriculture but there really is an opportunity to learn more about farming and what's the main economic driver for our local Central Valley," said Steven Knudsen with Tulare Ag Expo.

Expo officials say 1,700 specialists from around the globe will be in Tulare this week, pumping about $1.6 billion dollars into the local economy.

The expo begins on Tuesday.
